About you We are seeking an Architectural Drafting Technologst with excellent knowledge of the 2020 National Building Code and a genuine passion for drafting — someone who takes pride in seeing every project from concept to completion. You bring a keen eye for detail and a perfectionist's standard to your work, and you're comfortable juggling multiple projects at once without letting quality slip. About the Role This is a 100% on-site role centered on drafting and delivering drawings that meet both the client's vision and the requirements of the National Building Code. Your attention to detail is what gets drawings through permit review the first time. Full responsibilities include: Prepare and produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings and models using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and related software, from initial concept through to final construction-ready drawings. Ensure all drawings comply with the National Building Code and other applicable municipal and provincial regulations, so submissions are permit-ready and move smoothly through approval. Translate client input and design intent into clear, precise technical drawings, checking in throughout the project to confirm the work matches their vision. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, keeping each on track against its timeline and budget without sacrificing accuracy or quality. Coordinate with clients, internal teams, contractors, and municipal officials as needed to resolve drawing revisions, permit questions, or code-related issues. Produce renderings and imaging (using tools like Lumion, 3ds Max, or Photoshop) to help clients visualize a project before it's built. Review and quality-check drawings for dimensional accuracy, consistency, and adherence to industry drafting standards. Maintain organized project files and documentation in line with company confidentiality and NDA practices. Stay current on changes to the National Building Code and drafting software to keep work compliant and efficient. Participate in weekly meetings as a member of the team Requirements Candidates that will be considered must have the following qualifications · Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Architectural Drafting Technologist · Excellent knowledge of the National Building code · Strong internal and external communication skills · Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously · Ability to produce drawings that meet the criteria of reviewers for permitting approvals · Post-secondary completion of an Architectural Drafting Diploma program or related program More about the role Our office hours are 9 AM – 5 PM, Monday to Friday and this position would require you to be on-site. Our office is located along Bedford Hwy. Pay for this position is hourly at a range of $35.00 - $40.00 per hour.
