Job summary

Active Homes is hiring for an experienced Warranty Technician. You will be the main point of contact for homeowners after possession, responding to their concerns, coordinating trades, and ensuring deficiencies are resolved quickly and professionally. You will also play a key role in pre-possession quality control, making sure homes meet our standards before they're handed over to our valued customers. Responsibilities Field incoming customer calls and emails regarding warranty and service requests Schedule and coordinate trades to complete repairs and deficiency work Conduct quality control (QC) inspections on homes prior to possession Complete minor repairs and deficiency work directly, where appropriate Conduct possession walk-throughs with homeowners, reviewing home features and addressing questions Schedule and conduct 3-month and 1-year warranty inspections Manage seasonal maintenance items and follow-up work Maintain accurate records of service requests, repairs, and inspection results Communicate professionally with homeowners, trades, and internal teams throughout the warranty process Support other warranty and customer service tasks as needed Qualifications Previous experience in residential construction, home building, or warranty service Strong communication and customer service skills Patience, empathy, and composure under pressure Deep knowledge of home construction and site supervision preferred Comfortable performing hands-on repairs Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities Ability to work independently and use good judgment in the field Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract Ability to pass a criminal record check Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions across the Greater Edmonton area If you are an experienced warranty and service technician, send your resume in confidence to Blair@activehomes. ca We look forward to hearing from you.
