The right person should be reliable, professional, good with customers, and willing to learn. You will be entering customers’ homes, so respect for customers and their property is very important. This job is different every day. You will diagnose problems, make decisions, repair appliances, and continue learning as you grow with the company. Responsibilities Repair major household appliances Service washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, ranges, cooktops, range hoods, and other appliances Diagnose appliance problems and provide repair estimates Explain findings clearly to customers Order and document parts when needed Prepare invoices and collect payment when required Use service manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools Communicate with customers, office staff, and technicians Keep tools, parts, vehicle, and work area organized Follow company procedures and safety standards Qualifications Appliance repair experience preferred Basic knowledge of household appliances Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge Good troubleshooting skills Valid driver’s license required Clean driving record preferred Good customer service skills Able to work independently Basic computer or mobile app skills Willing to learn and improve Certifications Considered an Asset Journeyman Appliance Service Technician Apprentice Appliance Service Technician Gasfitter Electrician Electronics Specialist Refrigeration Specialist Appliance Repair Journeyman Certificate LMIA Support Advance Appliance Ltd may consider LMIA support for qualified candidates depending on business needs, candidate qualifications, and government requirements.
