Laboratory Technician C - SCAL Lab

Work Schedule: This position operates on a rotating shift schedule to support laboratory operations. Team members are expected to work a combination of day and evening shifts, with occasional overnight shifts as part of the rotation. Flexibility to work varying shifts is required. Summary: AGAT Laboratories is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented SCAL Lab Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a variety of special core analysis experiments, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity. What you will be doing: Conduct a range of SCAL experiments to evaluate reservoir rock properties Operate and maintain SCAL laboratory equipment Ensure data accuracy and integrity Demonstrate strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Utilize various shop and hand tools for SCAL experiment setup and sample preparation Contribute to a safe and organized laboratory environment What you bring to the table: Flexibility with shift schedule - comfort level working evenings, weekends and overnight shifts Post-secondary education with a Chemical degree/diploma or equivalent experience Previous work lab experience is an asset, training will be provided Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written Attention to detail with good organizational skills Basic computer skills Team player with the ability to work in a positive manner in a fast paced environment Work Environment: This position requires a person to stand, sit and lift throughout the shift in a laboratory environment. Manual dexterity is required to perform repetitive tasks. PPE is required where applicable. Why Work for AGAT? Candidates should have post-secondary education with a chemical degree or diploma and be flexible to work rotating day, evening, and overnight shifts. Previous lab experience and strong English communication skills are considered assets.
