Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Assistant Maintenance Technician in the private sector in Kingston, Ontario. We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of facility, production, laboratory, and automated equipment within a GMP/ISO cleanroom manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, robotics, SCADA, and industrial automation systems, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams. This is a full-time contract position with potential to transition to permanent employment after six months. What's in it for you: $20.00 - $30.00 hourly Hands-on experience with industrial automation, robotics, and troubleshooting mechanical/electrical systems. Experience working in a manufacturing, GMP/ISO, or cleanroom environment, with strong problem-solving and technical skills. Potential for permanent employment after 6 months based on performance and business needs. Responsibilities: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility, production, laboratory, and automated equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, robotics, and industrial control systems. Support the installation, testing, optimization, and maintenance of production equipment and robotic automation cells. Provide hands-on technical support to Production and Operations teams to minimize equipment downtime. Maintain equipment records, support asset management systems, and assist with audits and compliance requirements. Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams on facility projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Successful candidates will have: Post-secondary education in Industrial Automation, Robotics, Electro-Mechanical Systems, Electronics, or a related technical field. Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in automation, manufacturing, maintenance, or product development. Hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and robotic systems. Knowledge of industrial robotics, SCADA, Industrial Controls, and Ethernet/IP. Experience with programming/coding languages such as Python, RAPID, or SQL is an asset.
