Job Summary: We are currently looking for a Building Automation System (BAS) Technician to join our growing team based out of Winnipeg, MB. As a BAS Technician you will be involved in the installation, commissioning and servicing of commercial building automation systems. This position requires a good working knowledge of PC fundamentals, PC Networking/LAN, basic electronic theory and Building Electrical/Mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities: * Assist in delivering BAS solutions to our customer base within the Construction/Operation Department. * Assist with site commissioning, point to point verifications, troubleshooting and startup of a variety of Building Automation Systems. * Learn and demonstrate a thorough understanding of Ainsworth Safe Work and H&S Policies. * Understand fundamentals of how HVAC systems operate on commercial buildings. * Work with and understand HVAC and Digital Control fundamentals * Demonstrate working knowledge of BAS Networking and Building System Integration. Qualifications: * Valid Driver’s license. * Fluent in English – both written and oral. * The ability to read and understand construction plans and specs and product documentation. * Graduate of Post-Secondary technical or engineering program. * Fluent in Microsoft Office. * Medium physical duties, the ability to stand for long periods of time in a construction environment, the ability to climb ladders and at times work from heights.
