What you’ll do

The automotive service technician will review work orders, road test motor vehicles, and test automotive systems and components. They will also adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems and advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.

Requirements

Candidates must have a Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience, along with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification is required, with specialization in areas such as engine repair and electrical systems.
