The Role We are seeking a Warranty & Field Technician for Akash Homes, based in Edmonton, Alberta. The Opportunity At Akash Homes, we're experiencing exciting growth. They prioritize relationships with our homeowners and external teams to ensure seamless collaboration, transparent communication, and mutual success. This team also focuses on delivering exceptional customer support, enhancing customer satisfaction, and building strong, long-lasting relationships with our homeowners. Top 3 Priorities in the First 6 Months Learn the workflow for pre-occupancy, 3-month, and 1-year post-occupancy repairs to ensure compliance and consistency. Communicate effectively with homeowners to explain repairs, provide updates, and ensure a positive customer experience. Maintain accurate documentation of all repairs and report recurring issues promptly to support continuous improvement. What You’ll Work On: Address customer warranty issues on-site with hand-tools for pre-occupancy repairs, 3-month post-occupancy repairs, and 1-year post-occupancy repairs with strict adherence to the Alberta Construction Performance Guide for New Home Warranty in Alberta. Contact trades to follow up with home repairs that are unable to be completed as part of Trades Day appointment. Assist team members on-site when required with potential on-site issues and trade deficiencies. Coordinate with Superintendent for Quality Control review as part of possession hand off. Manage on-site work during Trades Day, including trade reviews, scheduling, and coordination. Perform 3-month and 11-month inspections to ensure homes meet Akash Homes’ standards and specifications. Document findings accurately and communicate next steps to homeowners and internal teams. Provide clear and thorough guidance to homeowners on the operation and maintenance of home systems. Address homeowner questions and concerns professionally to build trust and satisfaction. Maintain site cleanliness and verify the quality of work performed. Communicate effectively when on-site with customers and with trade partners and internal teams. What You’ll Bring: Effective Time Management: Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet multiple deadlines. Responsibility & Problem-Solving: Willingness to assume responsibility, identify problems, take independent action, and request (or offer) assistance where required. Technical Skills: Ability to perform on-site warranty-related repairs and pre and post-occupancy repairs. Teamwork & Independence: Works well in a team or independently. Organizational Skills: Ability to use emails and calendar effectively. Hand-Tool Proficiency: Comfortable using own hand-tools. General Labor Experience: Experience with general labor repairs including framing, drywall, paint, plumbing, installing deck stairs and railings, replacing deck boards, nail pop repairs, etc. Construction Knowledge: An understanding of the Construction Performance Guide for New Home Warranty in Alberta.
