Your Opportunity: The University of Alberta Hospital is a busy, acute trauma center that will give you the ability to showcase and expand your individual skills, team dynamics and actively participate in teaching new students. Currently this position has a start time of 1600h. Description: As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) I, you will perform a variety of standard technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You will interpret physician requisitions, prepare and assess patients for examination and produce high quality diagnostic images for Physician/Radiologist review, and assist with the care and maintenance of equipment. Your work may include a variety of procedures such as general and portable radiography, mobile and surgical suite examinations, as well as fluoroscopy where required. Classification: Medical Radiation Tech I Union: HSAA Facility PROF/TECH Unit and Program: General Imaging Primary Location: U of A Hospital Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.70 Posting End Date: 09-SEP-2026 Employee Class: Regular Part Time Date Available: 21-SEP-2026 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 2 Shifts per cycle: 7 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, On Call Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $38.74 Maximum Salary: $51.02 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications: Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
