Maintenance Technician

Join Our Team as a Maintenance Technician: Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly? The Prince George Hotel is looking for a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to help maintain our hotel to the highest standards. In this role, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of maintenance tasks, from preventative upkeep to repairs, ensuring our facilities remain safe, efficient, and guest-ready at all times. What You'll Do: * Perform general maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work * Maintain interior and exterior areas to a high standard of appearance * Conduct preventative maintenance on mechanical systems to avoid breakdowns * Respond quickly and efficiently to maintenance requests from all departments * Complete renovations and in-house repair projects as needed * Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a safe and organized manner * Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and potential risks * Respond appropriately to emergency situations * Provide friendly, professional service when interacting with guests and team members * Continuously build skills and knowledge through training opportunities What You Bring: * Previous maintenance or building maintenance experience required * Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems and carpentry * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities * Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks * Good communication and interpersonal skills * Commitment to safety and maintaining high standards * Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and on-call if required What We Offer: We want you to feel valued here and to enjoy the benefits of being part of a strong and supportive team.
