Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Engineer role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. The Electrical Engineer will design and develop LV switchboards and panel boards, including detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and equipment layouts. Responsibilities include performing calculations for power distribution and protection, selecting appropriate components, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and customer specifications. The role involves collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and project teams to support production, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems. The Electrical Engineer will also review technical documentation, prepare reports, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for performance, safety, and cost-efficiency. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with a solid understanding of fundamental electrical principles and practices. Candidates should possess expertise in Electrical Design, including preparing schematics, layouts, and documentation for LV switchboards and panel boards. Candidates should possess practical knowledge in Power Distribution and Power Systems, particularly for industrial and commercial applications. Relevant bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field; professional engineering licensure or eligibility is an asset. Experience with applicable electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NEC, CSA) and familiarity with safety and compliance requirements. Proficiency with ECAD tools and standard office software; experience in manufacturing or panel board/switchgear environments is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team on-site. Effective verbal and written communication skills in English; additional language abilities are an advantage.
