Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Electromechanical Technician to join a dynamic project team on a freelance/contract basis. This role is central to the technical execution of electromechanical projects, acting as a key link between the sales team, execution team, suppliers, and designers. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills and is comfortable working across proposal, design, and installation phases. Contract Type: Freelance / Contract Location: Laval (Quebec) Work Mode: Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite Key Responsibilities: Technical & Project Support Actively participate in all technical aspects of projects related to electromechanical systems Support the sales team, execution team, and suppliers on technical questions on a daily basis Review proposal phase documentation and customer specifications Select electromechanical components that meet project requirements (specifications, cost, layout) Client & Supplier Coordination Participate in meetings, discussions, and clarifications with customers and suppliers Review customer specifications and highlight any clarifications or exclusions required Ensure specifications and agreed clarifications/exclusions are properly implemented into the design Design & Documentation Review wiring diagrams, component lists, and utility lists Support designers with overall integration on project layouts Installation & Field Support Provide installation support both in the shop and on site Sales & Procurement Support Support the sales team on bidding, including initial pricing and component selection Provide general procurement support for sourcing Support aftermarket and services activities Required Qualifications: 3–5 years of experience as an Electrical or Mechanical Technician Experience in electromechanical systems, instrumentation, hydraulics, and pneumatics Workshop and/or site experience (installation, integration) Comfortable working with wiring diagrams, component lists, and component selection Strong client- and supplier-facing skills, including daily technical support and sales support on bidding Open to occasional travel for international projects Bilingual French and English required Nice to Have Entrepreneurial mindset Adaptability and composure under pressure Strong customer service orientation Why choose us An international community bringing together more than 110 different nationalities An environment where trust is central: 70% of our leaders started their careers at the entry level A strong training system with our internal Academy and more than 250 modules available A dynamic work environment that frequently comes together for internal events (afterworks, team buildings, etc.) Amaris Consulting promotes equal opportunities.
