Key responsibilities: * Coordinates design activities for development projects with the assigned team; * Supervises project progress and informs the team manager of any delays or issues; * Provides technical support to teams in the design, validation, and approval of concepts; * Keeps technical documentation up to date, including calculations, testing, verification, and validation; * Organizes and plans project-related activities while maintaining relationships with clients and suppliers; * Contributes to cost estimation, quote analysis, and supports the sales team in preparing proposals. What will help you thrive at FARO Creaform: * Is a membre of the OIQ * Holds a university degree in Mechanical Engineering; * Has at least two years of relevant experience in project management; * Demonstrates strong mechanical skills and knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T); * Proficient in at least one CAD software (Catia V5, SolidWorks, Solidedge, Inventor, or Autocad); * Bilingual in English and French; a high percentage of communications are in English with international subsidiaries and clients. Frequent meetings with English-speaking partners; * Shows autonomy, organization, leadership, and a strong sense of customer service; * Willing and able to travel to client sites and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

What you’ll do

The Project Engineer will coordinate design activities for development projects, supervise progress, and provide technical support for concept validation and approval. Key duties also involve maintaining technical documentation, planning project activities, managing client/supplier relationships, and contributing to cost estimation and sales proposals.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a university degree in Mechanical Engineering and possess at least two years of relevant project management experience, along with strong mechanical skills including GD&T knowledge. Proficiency in at least one CAD software, bilingualism in English and French, and demonstrated autonomy and leadership are essential requirements.
