Senior Security Technician (Service + Install) PasWord Protection Services Inc. | Hamilton + Halton + Niagara + Brant + Peel | Full-Time PasWord Protection Services is hiring a Senior Security Technician to lead high-quality installs, handle complex troubleshooting, and support our team in delivering an exceptional customer experience across residential and commercial sites. What you’ll do * Lead installations and service for: * Intrusion/alarm systems (takeovers, upgrades, troubleshooting) * CCTV / IP & analog video systems * Video Monitoring Systems * Access control Systems * Cellular communicators and monitoring-related equipment * Diagnose and resolve complex issues efficiently and professionally * Complete clean, code-compliant wiring, labeling, testing, and documentation * Communicate clearly with customers and train them on system use * Support apprentices/junior techs and uphold jobsite quality standards * Coordinate with dispatch/project leads to keep jobs moving smoothly What we’re looking for * 5+ years experience as a security/alarm technician (residential + commercial) * Strong troubleshooting skills and pride in clean workmanship * Solid knowledge of low-voltage cabling best practices * Comfortable with ladders/lifts and working on active sites * Valid driver’s license and clean driving record * Professional, customer-first attitude Certifications are a strong asset * CFAA (Fire Alarm) or relevant fire experience * Working at Heights, WHMIS, First Aid/CPR * Lift/Scissor certification * Vendor certifications (DSC, Honeywell, Ajax, etc.) are a plus Bonus skills (nice-to-have) * Networking fundamentals (VLANs, port forwarding, PoE switches, VPN basics) * Advanced access control experience (multi-door systems, integrations) * Experience with ULC environments and documentation standards What we offer * Competitive compensation based on experience * Company vehicle * Steady pipeline of work across multiple regions * A team that values quality, professionalism, and customer experience * Growth opportunities into Lead Tech / Project Lead roles Apply Email your resume (or a short summary of your experience, certifications, and the systems you’ve worked on) to dlloyd@pasword.com [dlloyd@pasword.com] with the subject: “Senior Technician – PasWord”
