Job Posting: Technician, Construction & Maintenance – Drumheller Job Category: Operations & Engineering Requisition Number: 20-26 Application Deadline: September 21, 2026 Wages: $41.59 – $43.91 per hour What You Will Do: In this unionized position of Technician, Construction & Maintenance, you will play an essential role within our Operations workgroup. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * Installing gas piping systems and performing related duties; * Repairing leaks and damages on buried and above ground pipelines and facilities; * Assisting in the installation, construction, maintenance and operation work on regulating stations and metering facilities; * Operating construction and heavy work equipment; * Staking projects and coordinating with contractors and customers; and * Performing annual maintenance and leak survey program. What You Will Bring: Required qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent; * Minimum one (1) year in a construction related job; * Valid Alberta Driver’s license either Class 5 with Air Brake, Class 3 with Air Brake or Class 1; * An acceptable driver's abstract is also required for this position and * Ability to perform all necessary physical requirements of the position. Preferred skills and qualifications: * Basic knowledge of MS Suite or equivalent; * Basic knowledge GIS Software; * Experience with TelDig or similar software; * Mechanical aptitude; * Safety certificates including: * Line stopping qualification to level 4; * Ground Disturbance Level 2; * Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA); and * H2S Alive and Standard First Aid. Travel Requirements: This position requires regular travel within and outside the assigned district. Based on operational needs, employees may be required to work away from their home district for extended periods, including overnight stays. Assignments may involve alternating rotations, such as one week in the home district followed by one week in another district If you meet most but not all qualifications, you are still encouraged to apply.
