Résumé du poste
Junior Surveyor / Survey Technician – Precision Floors & Robotics Location: Canada – Nationwide Travel Required Company: AppliedeX For over 50 years, AppliedeX has delivered high-performance industrial flooring solutions across Canada and the US. Today, we are expanding our expertise in ultra-flat, robotic-ready floors that support ASRS, AGV/AMR, AutoStore, VNA, and other advanced warehouse automation systems. We are looking for an entry-level Surveyor / Survey Technician who wants to build a career in precision industrial surveying. You do not need to be an expert in floor surveying or Leica technology today. We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation, attention to detail, willingness to travel, and—most importantly—a desire to learn and continuously grow their competence. We will provide hands-on exposure, training, and mentorship in advanced surveying equipment, 3D laser scanning, floor profiling, data analysis, and robotic floor tolerance requirements. Role Summary: You will work alongside our engineering and operations teams to assess industrial floors across Canada. As you build your competence, you will progressively take responsibility for field surveys, equipment setup, data collection, processing, technical analysis, and eventually complete customer reporting. You will gain practical experience with technologies including: Leica precise 3D scanners and robotic total stations 3D laser scanning and point-cloud technology High-precision floor profiling equipment AutoCAD and specialist surveying software Floor flatness, levelness and robotic tolerance analysis Heat maps, floor profiles and digital survey reporting Key Responsibilities: Assist with high-precision surveys of industrial and warehouse floors. Learn to operate Leica laser scanners, total stations and other precision measurement equipment. Set up survey equipment, reference points and measurement grids under supervision. Collect accurate field data and maintain organized project records. Learn 3D laser scanning, scan registration and point-cloud processing. Support preparation of floor elevation maps, tolerance maps, profiles and technical reports. Identify floor irregularities and deviations from project requirements. Work with senior specialists to understand how survey results translate into corrective grinding and floor remediation. Maintain equipment, field documentation and project data according to company QA/QC procedures. Progress toward independently planning, executing, and reporting complete floor surveys. Travel to industrial projects throughout Canada and, occasionally, the United States. What We Are Looking For Diploma or degree in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, or another relevant technical discipline. Recent graduates and candidates early in their surveying careers are encouraged to apply. Basic understanding of surveying principles and measurement techniques. Experience with Leica, Trimble, Topcon, AutoCAD, or similar technologies is an advantage, but not mandatory. Strong computer and technical aptitude. High attention to detail and respect for measurement accuracy. Ability to organize data and follow technical procedures. Comfortable working independently once trained. Strong willingness to learn new technologies and develop specialist expertise. Valid driver’s license. Ability and willingness to travel regularly across Canada. What We Offer Structured technical training and mentorship Hands-on experience with advanced Leica and precision surveying technology Exposure to robotics, automation and next-generation warehouse infrastructure Opportunity to work on major industrial projects across Canada and the U.S. Competitive compensation and benefits Travel allowance and project support Clear development path from Junior Surveyor to independent Survey Specialist / Survey Engineer Opportunity to become a specialist in a highly technical and rapidly growing field We are looking for someone who wants to learn, take ownership, build expertise, and become one of the best in the field. Join AppliedeX and help us build the precision physical infrastructure behind the next generation of industrial automation.
