Job summary
ATCO Frontec is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Camp Services team at the Artemis Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia, approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing various skilled and semi-skilled tasks for maintaining a 24/7 camp operation. Duties will include maintaining mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The wage range for the role will be $30/hour. Rates may be subject to change. The rotation will be 14 days on, and 14 days off. The successful applicant will be required to perform routine corrective and preventive maintenance tasks, inclusive of but not limited to the following: Troubleshooting and repairs of plumbing systems such as leaking faucets, plugged toilets and drains, showers, etc. Perform building repairs including drywall, painting, flooring, minor carpentry, ceiling tiles and grid system. Minor HVAC troubleshooting and repairs inclusive of filter replacement and/or cleaning, repairs to ducting, registers and dampers, etc. Performs site inspections of the camp and mechanical equipment to ensure proper operations. Report any problems found. Daily monitoring of temperature and humidity levels, reporting any problems or inconsistencies to management. Responsible for the completion of all maintenance services requests as assigned Perform manual duties to clean and maintain exterior environments. Respond quickly and thoroughly to changes in client requirements and expectations. Ensure all operations meet and comply with client-specific regulations, both federal and provincial health & safety legislations, as well as ATCO corporate policies. Navigate the CMMS system for work order management and task reporting. Follow Health and Safety Policies and Safe Work practices Other duties as assigned Qualifications: 3 or more years’ experience in a similar position and environment. Clean Driver's abstract is required Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedures in maintenance operations Highly experienced with time management in a 24/7 operation with a strong focus on client satisfaction. Ability to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools and materials Basic computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook.
