Job Description Job Description Overview Reporting to the Associate Director, Energy & Electrification, within the Transit and Rail practice of the Technical Professionals organization, the individual will be responsible for preparing CAD design drawings, 3D modeling, and ensuring the quality and compliance of all aspects and deliverables related to traction power supply and distribution systems for transit and rail projects. Your Role Prepare and update drawings and schematics for traction power supply and distribution systems, including single-line diagrams, electrical protection and control diagrams, substation equipment installation plans, catenary plans, and grounding and bonding diagrams. Prepare and update 3D models for traction power supply and distribution systems. Demonstrate mastery of the Quality Management System and ensure compliance with quality standards. Participate in the design of traction power supply and distribution systems. Communicate with public utility companies (e.g., Hydro-Québec, CSEM). Use Bentley MicroStation V8i, AutoCAD 3D, Revit Electrical, and Autodesk BIM 360. About You DEP or DEC in Electrical Engineering or any other relevant academic training. More than 3 years of experience in computer-aided drafting (CAD). Knowledge of AutoCAD, Autodesk BIM 360, and Bentley MicroStation software. Knowledge of Revit MEP is considered an asset. Excellent technical knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code. Knowledge of railway standards (AREMA, NFPA, CSA, etc.) is an asset. Bilingual (French and English).
