POSITION OVERVIEW: As a member of our operations team, the Install Technician will be responsible for traffic product set up and take down and sign and road safety systems installation. We are looking for a seasonal employee to join our team with the potential of moving into a full-time permanent role in the future. WHAT WE CAN OFFER: * Competitive compensation * Ample opportunity for overtime * Great work environment and co-workers * Benefits Package that includes health, vision, and dental benefits * Paid Personal/Sick Days * Paid time off over Christmas * Growing Company with room for professional development and advancement KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Install signs, guard rail, barrier, and other safety systems * Use hand power tools to perform installations in a safe manner * Load and unload trucks with appropriate materials for project completion * Provide preventative maintenance and cleaning to trucks * Set-up and service trailer traffic equipment (message boards, traffic lights, arrow boards, etc.) * Complete necessary paperwork accurately and send to Project Coordinators in a timely manner * Safely direct motorist and pedestrian traffic for the safety of road users and work crews * Maintain a professional demeanor to the public and customers while in the field * Maintain proper organization in the yard when loading and unloading vehicles * Lead and participate in toolbox/onsite safety meetings QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum 1 year construction experience * Ability to work flexible schedules * Ability to communicate with project team members to ensure tasks are executed in a timely manner * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Valid provincial driver's license and clean drivers abstract and own means of transportation to and from work * Ability to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing * Preferably, valid Flagger training certificate * Preferably, current Construction Safety Training certification Barricades and Signs is an equal opportunity employer and employs without regard to age, ancestry, colour, race, citizenship, ethnic origin, place of origin, creed, disability, family status, marital status, or gender identity.

What you’ll do

The Install Technician is responsible for the setup and takedown of traffic products, as well as the installation of signs and road safety systems. Key duties include installing safety systems, operating tools, loading materials, servicing trailer equipment, and safely directing traffic.

Requirements

Candidates need a minimum of one year of construction experience, the ability to work flexible schedules, and strong communication skills for team coordination. A valid driver's license, clean abstract, and personal transportation are mandatory, along with the ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
