Licensed Tractor Technician (Day Shift)

The Tractor Technician is a permanent, full-time position. You will work in conjunction with the Service Coordinator, Trailer Technician/Mechanics and Tractor Technician/Mechanics to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the Bison fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections prescribing the correct remedial action. Qualifications: Must be a Licensed Tractor Technician Experience working on tractors as a Heavy Equipment Apprentice or Technician Previous experience and qualification to perform Safeties are considered mandatory in this position Demonstrated diagnosing and time-management abilities Ability to provide superior customer service to our Drivers Support and encourage Apprentices throughout their apprenticeship Basic level computer skills (paperless work order entry) Ability to work unsupervised Hold a valid Driver's License. May stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag, lift and carry items weighing 50 lbs or less. The technician will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on the fleet by diagnosing mechanical issues and prescribing remedial actions. They will also support apprentices and maintain efficient workflow through paperless work order systems.

Candidates must be a licensed tractor technician with previous experience in heavy equipment maintenance and safety inspections. The role requires the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various shop environments.
