The Quality Technician I plays an important role to conduct failure analysis, execute test cases, and report on issues when investigating the products that Blackline Safety produces. Key Responsibilities Develop test cases and test plan to ensure full coverage of requirements Analyze test data to identify underlying failure modes Provide analysis of failure modes to Operations, Engineering and Quality Meet quality goals and benchmarks as set by Management Technical support and troubleshooting Failure analysis of product returned by customers Laboratory testing of samples – electronics, mechanical, gas testing Test hardware and the firmware in devices Contribute to and author test summaries Present and report findings to cross-functional teams Recommend actions or solutions to improve products Project work for continuous improvement Process requests/tickets through JIRA About You Minimum 1 year experience in a technical role Diploma or degree in electronics, instrumentation, or computer technology from a recognized institution Ability to test hardware and the firmware in devices Strength in a technical capacity and able to understand and retain technical issues Demonstrated verbal and written business communication skills that are clear, concise, courteous, and professional Computer literacy, including proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of products Organized, detail-oriented and can prioritize tasks Team player who offers solutions and ideas to continually improve the business Proactive in your approach to customer issues Outgoing, courteous, ambitious, and presentable with a professional demeanor Total Rewards At Blackline Safety, we offer more than just a job—we offer a career with purpose. What you’ll do

The Quality Technician I conducts failure analysis, executes test cases, and reports on issues related to Blackline Safety products. They also develop test plans, analyze test data, and provide insights to cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Candidates should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a technical role and a diploma or degree in electronics, instrumentation, or computer technology. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team are also essential.
