Technician, Mechanical Maintenance

Job summary

The technician will interpret plans and specifications for industrial equipment and perform troubleshooting on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. They will also carry out preventive and predictive maintenance and participate in the design and optimization of equipment.

(Lathe, milling machine, CNC machine, sheet metal equipment, heat treatment, etc.) • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on various equipment using specialized tools. • Participate in the design, manufacturing and optimization of equipment. • Carry out work, both at height (nacelle, lifting platform) and in enclosed spaces. • Use electric, pneumatic or manual tools, depending on the operations to be carried out. • Use measuring instruments, such as micrometer, vernier, caliper, etc. As our ideal candidate • You have a DEC in Industrial Maintenance Technology or DEC in Mechanical Engineering. • You have maintenance experience on production machines (an asset). • You have experience in maintaining hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic machines (an asset). • You have to be comfortable working independently and demonstrate initiative. • You have very good communication skills. • You have good judgment and work well in a multidisciplinary team. • You need to be flexible, there is possibility of working varied hours over 7 days, 24/24 hours, according to the collective agreement. Requirements

The ideal candidate should have a DEC in Industrial Maintenance Technology or Mechanical Engineering and experience with production machines is an asset. They should be comfortable working independently, possess good communication skills, and be flexible with working hours.
