We are currently seeking a Field Truck and Coach Technician join our Peterbilt Team in Timmins - reporting to the North Bay Branch. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of Truck & Coach based equipment and attachments in a field environment. What You Will Be Responsible For Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair on road equipment Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems Accurately and completely document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standards Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis Work with equipment engineers to diagnose and fulfill warranty requirements Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required Other duties as assigned What We Look For Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Coach technician trade or equivalent designated trade considered an asset Experience in CAT, CUMMINs and PACCAR engines considered an asset Experience with electrical diagnosis /troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems considered an asset Previous mechanical experience in a shop environment is considered an asset. Must be committed to customer service and service excellence Must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with equipment engineers, the service team, and branch personnel. Outstanding knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems Proven computer/ technical aptitude and knowledge for diagnostics and calibration work Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs Strong time-management skills to perform effectively under pressure Strong communication skills, showing an appreciation of customer needs Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds What We Offer Competitive compensation: we offer competitive wages that recognize your skills, experience, and contributions. Candidates must be a certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Coach technician trade or equivalent. Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills, along with the ability to work effectively with engineering and service teams, are required.
