Job Description We are hiring Poultry Farm Workers for our farm in Kleefeld. This is a great opportunity for hands-on experience in egg farming. You will be working as part of an important team at the farm, to help prepare the birds and their barns to reach their full potential. At times, support is required for our other locations in Saint Malo and New Bothwell. Position Title: Poultry Technician Replacement or New Role: New Term: Full Time Permanent Work Mode: onsite Reports to: Farm Manager Direct Reports: 0 Salary Range: $21.76- 23.90/hr Bonus: No Address: New Bothwell Travel: No Language: English JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Prepare birds for transport from a barn to another site. This can include loading birds into carts and onto transport trucks, as well as unloading birds from carts into the barn * Clean barns and equipment, using high-pressure water and various chemicals * Apply vaccinations to birds * Demonstrates a commitment to safety in all tasks which includes, but is not limited to, wearing required Personal Protective Equipment, using safe lifting techniques, following lock out tag out procedures, appropriate use, handling and storage of chemicals, etc. * Other duties as assigned WORK ENVIRONMENT * Work in barns and transport truck trailers that can be noisy, odorous, hot, humid, and dusty * Work involves physical movements like standing for extended periods, crouching, bending, kneeling, as well as some climbing and heights. This includes lifting up to 60 lbs and repetitively lifting 10-15 lbs QUALIFICATIONS: * Ability to work as part of a team * Demonstrates positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills * Ability to perform physical tasks that require strength, coordination, and dexterity * Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and must be able to lift 10-15 lbs repetitively * Able to show up to work on time and ready to work. Willing to work until the task is complete, which can require longer hours on some shifts. Must have flexibility in respect to scheduling * Ability to execute all tasks in a safe manner * Comfortable around farm animals. Able to adhere to animal welfare standards. The Poultry Technician is responsible for preparing birds for transport, cleaning barns and equipment, and administering vaccinations. They must also ensure all tasks are performed safely while adhering to animal welfare standards.

Candidates must be capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs and working in noisy, dusty environments. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
