Are you passionate about mine surveying in a world-class oil sands mining facility? We are currently seeking a Survey Technician to join our Horizon Mine Survey team. In this role, you will be given the opportunity to showcase your expertise by supporting Mine Operations, Mine Projects, Reclamation, and Geology in their daily survey requirements. Job location: Horizon Oil Sands - Fort McMurray, Alberta Shift schedule: 7 X 7, 12-hour shifts Safety sensitive position: Yes Application deadline: August 16, 2026 Key Accountabilities: Weekly mine volume reconciliation of ore and waste in order to meet regulatory reporting requirements Accurate survey layout of Mine Engineering designs and structures during construction Monitor and as-build survey of in-pit and ex-pit structures for QA/QC Provide technical field survey support to Mine Operations on a daily basis Provide ongoing field survey support to Mine Geotechnical, Geology and Mine Projects groups. Requirements

Requires a certificate or diploma in Survey or Geomatics Engineering Technology and a Class 5 driver's license. Preference is given to candidates with five years of oil sands experience and proficiency in Maptek, PointStudio, and Minesight software.
