This position offers a hands-on, dynamic environment with opportunities to contribute to automation, continuous improvement, and innovation across multiple plant operations. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Lead end-to-end engineering projects, including analysis, vendor selection, installation, commissioning, and production readiness * Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and overall plant efficiency * Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, and external partners to execute projects and resolve technical challenges * Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and timelines, ensuring successful and timely delivery * Support plant layout design, workflow optimization, and ergonomic improvements * Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and cost performance across manufacturing operations * Act as a change agent, supporting the adoption of new technologies and processes WHAT YOU’LL BRING Required: * Post-secondary degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related field) * 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment * Experience with project coordination or project management * Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or similar CAD tools * Understanding of mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels * Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between local sites as needed Preferred: * Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or actively working toward certification * Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D modeling tools * Exposure to automation or capital equipment projects * Familiarity with plastics manufacturing or similar processes * Basic understanding of electrical systems WHY JOIN US? * Competitive compensation with annual pay progression and bonus program * Comprehensive benefits from Day 1 (no waiting period!) * Company matching RRSP plan * Paid vacation time * KM reimbursement for local travel * Temperature-controlled (air-conditioned) facility for improved working conditions * Career growth opportunities within engineering and operations WORKING CONDITIONS Requires a high degree of mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, reaching, twisting, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50lbs alone.
