Primary Objective of the Position: The ULD Technician is responsible for the repair of ULDs, Cargo restraint equipment and reconciliation of the ULD Control receipts, including repairs and logistics. Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Repair company owned/leased ULDs as per company procedures. * Support the weekly reporting on workload and productivity. * Ensure adherence to the applicable Transport Canada regulations pertaining to ULD parts certifications along with compliance to Cargojet Policies / Procedures manuals. * Complete ULD receipts and invoice processing. * Ensure accurate entries into the system work orders to track labour hours and materials utilized. * Basic & general knowledge of different type of mechanical tools. * Complete weekly inventory checks for station equipment and updating in ULD system, following up on discrepancies and corrections. * Work with Commercial Ground Services to retrieve ULD unserviceable equipment. * Communicate all ULD issues for visibility, resolution, and improvement opportunities. * Support the weekly reporting for all ULD discrepancies repair times, quantity of repairs. * Meet time sensitive deadlines as part of a team dynamic. * Remain current and compliant for specific training modules required for position (WHMIS, SMS, Human Factors, Dangerous Goods, Hazard Prevention, etc.) * Comply with all SMS and safety policies, processes, and standards. * Responsible to maintain clean and safe workplace, including condition of tooling and support equipment. * Perform other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications: * High School Graduate or equivalent experience. * Experience working with tools/ metal work or fabrication. * Ability to obtain a RAIC pass (Transport Canada Security Clearance). * Hold a valid driver’s license and maintain valid AVOP. * Excellent driving skills and ability to drive in all weather conditions. * Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. repeatedly. * Ability to work within a “team first” environment, and complete common goals within time sensitive deadlines. * Excellent punctuality and attendance habits. * Ability to learn quickly and adapt to fast changing customer requirements. * Willingness to take direction with a keen interest in further development within the operation. * Strong written and verbal communication skills.
