Your missions : Bird Care Technician Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:00pm The Poultry Barn Cleaner and Bird Care Technician will be responsible for the bird room cleaning and bird care, ensuring that all aspects of animal care and vaccine production are in compliance with approved Outlines of Production (O.P.), Special Outlines (S.O) and Standard Operating Procedures. (S.O.P.) Additionally, will assist in vaccine production and may be required to work weekend after initial training. Responsibilities: Weekly inventory check of supplies Clean and sanitize production and animal facilities Maintenance and Care of birds and bird rooms Order Feed and Supplies as needed Help with the inoculation of birds. Assist with the production of different Eimeria species in the laboratory as per the production schedule. Assist with general cleaning duties associated with the daily operations. Detailed, accurate, concurrent, complete record keeping Follows all safety procedures Follows standard operation procedures and company policies Feed and water all birds and record observations as set out Control room temperature and humidity Replace or clean vent filters Clean and disinfect empty bird rooms Record in Logbook when rooms cleaned and disinfected Record daily temperature of all refrigerated units; report problems Order Feed and Supplies as needed Competencies: Drive Ambition & Accountabilities Influence Others Collaborate with Empathy Engage & Develop Shape Solutions out of Complexity Client Focus Qualifications: High School Diploma Basic knowledge of cleaning and bird care Knowledge of documentation and record keeping Able to operate technical machinery and computerized equipment (incl. machine controls and instrumentation) You have a passion for farming and working with animals Disclosures: This requisition is for a current, contract opening at our Guelph, ON facility Standardized compensation range between $45,123-49,071 annually Your profile : Qualifications: High School Diploma Basic knowledge of cleaning and bird care Knowledge of documentation and record keeping Able to operate technical machinery and computerized equipment (incl. machine controls and instrumentation) You have a passion for farming and working with animals
