Job summary

We are now accepting applications for a Library Technician at St. Francis of Assisi Academy , a grades K-9 school located in de Winton (near Okotoks), Alberta. This is a part-time position (0.50 FTE), 17.50 hours per week on average and runs concurrent with the school calendar. Our successful candidate will have library training or equivalent relevant experience and the ability to interact in a positive manner with both students and teachers. A high level of computer literacy is required, including research skills, report writing, Insignia (Library Info Software) and proficiency with MS Office, and Google Apps for Education. Our Library Technician will have organizational and management skills, a commitment to fostering literacy and knowledge of a wide spectrum of age-appropriate literature. As a publicly funded Catholic School District, our schools and job locations are infused with the Catholic Faith. The successful candidate will demonstrate a respectful and sympathetic sensitivity to the Catholic beliefs and practices of the students and staff.
