Job summary
Job Purpose The Repair Technician repairs equipment to Christie Lites standards. Responsibilities 1. Diagnoses and fixes issues with CL rental equipment by: Repairing electrical and/or mechanical faults in Lighting, Control and Special FX products including ancillary equipment such as main distribution and networking. Limiting the electronic repairs to circuit board level. Modifying and upgrading ORPL equipment to CL standards as specified in CL Technotes. Recording all repairs in Repair Tracking Systems. Placing Parts orders when not in stock. Carrying out preventative maintenance as outlined in the Service Reference Guide. 2. Maintains a clean and organized work area by: Ensuring all tools and supplies are returned to proper storage areas at the end of shift. Ensuring equipment waiting for repair is stored in an organized and tidy manner. Cleaning workstation and common areas as assigned. Removing recycling and waste to designated disposal areas. Informing Department Head of low stocks of supplies. Essential attributes for success in this role Personal Attributes Self-motivated, ability to set and meet goals.
