We are currently looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Junior Electrical Technologist to be part of the team. As a Junior Technologist, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of electrical systems for various municipal, industrial, and transit sector projects. Job Responsibilities: Design power distribution systems including single line diagrams, power layouts, and emergency power systems. Develop lighting layouts, fire alarm, communications, and security systems for building services. Prepare design documentation including calculations, specifications, contract documents, and as-built drawings. Conduct site investigations, inspections, and field work for the design and construction phases. Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities throughout the project lifecycle. Review construction progress for compliance with contract documents and participate in factory and site acceptance testing. Ensure designs adhere to applicable codes, standards, and client requirements. Develop design reports, technical proposals, schedules, and cost estimates. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design for building systems. Post-secondary diploma in Electrical design technology. Solid understanding of electrical systems, including: Power distribution, lighting design, controls, fire alarm, emergency and exit lighting Communications cabling infrastructure, security and access control Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code Extensive proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for electrical design and drafting.
