About the role: Clutch is looking for a Licensed Automotive Service Technician to join our team! A $3,000 signing bonus will be paid after the 3-month probationary period. We’re looking for all-star licensed automotive mechanic talent to help ensure that all of our vehicles are up to our high mechanical standards. Working alongside our reconditioning team, you will perform vehicle inspections, maintenance work, and repairs across a range of systems. What you’ll do: Perform Clutch standardized vehicle inspections (stationary and road tests) Diagnose and assess vehicle issues and damage Perform Ontario Provincial Safety Inspections Make recommendations about vehicle repairs and the best course of action Perform repairs and preventative maintenance such as oil changes, suspension and brake jobs Create and maintain documentation of repairs, inspections, and estimates Ensure vehicles meet Clutch’s mechanical and safety standards Communicate vehicle status, repair needs, and completion timelines Use diagnostic tools and shop systems (e.g., Google Drive, Slack) Contribute to continuous improvement of mechanical procedures Metrics/measurement of success include inspection thoroughness, repair quality, safety compliance, turnaround time, and documentation accuracy What we’re looking for: 310s Red Seal or equivalent certification or training Experience working with a variety of car brands (domestic, import & European) Team player above all else Strong attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands Desire to learn new skills Comfortable using technology (Google Drive, Slack, etc.) Valid Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract Able to commit to a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, including overtime based on business needs.
