Hatchery Technician - Millbrook, NS

The Role Positions offer fulltime, year around employment. Primary duties include: * Monitoring feed and oxygen * Completing water quality tests * Data collection and input * Daily farm routines * Clean and maintain equipment The ideal candidate will have completed aquaculture training from a recognized educational institute. This requirement may be substituted with sufficient hands-on experience in spawning, egg incubation and early rearing of salmon fry. Previous experience with water quality testing would be considered an asset. Salary commensurate with experience which includes a competitive health and dental benefit package. The technician is responsible for monitoring feed and oxygen levels, performing water quality tests, and collecting data. Additionally, they handle daily farm routines and the maintenance of hatchery equipment.

Candidates should have aquaculture training from a recognized institute or equivalent hands-on experience in salmon spawning and rearing. Previous experience with water quality testing is considered an asset.
