Job summary

Summary Core Molding Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support our manufacturing operations through process improvement, equipment optimization, automation, and capital projects. This hands-on engineering role partners closely with Production, Maintenance, and Quality to improve safety, reliability, productivity, and cost performance while supporting new product launches and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities * Design and improve manufacturing equipment, tooling, and production processes using SolidWorks and CAD software * Develop engineering drawings, documentation, and technical specifications * Support capital projects including equipment purchases, upgrades, automation, and facility improvements * Troubleshoot manufacturing and equipment issues using root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions * Design, build, and test prototypes, fixtures, and experimental equipment * Provide day-to-day engineering support to Production and Maintenance teams * Improve equipment reliability, manufacturing efficiency, quality, and operating costs * Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, and waste reduction * Coordinate project schedules, budgets, risk management, and implementation activities * Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and applicable codes * Document engineering changes and communicate improvements across the organization Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience) * 5+ years of manufacturing or industrial engineering experience * Experience supporting production equipment, manufacturing processes, and plant operations * Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office * Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic systems and industrial equipment * Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes and equipment failures * Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills * Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications * Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation * Experience with automation, robotics, or material handling systems * Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical control systems * Exposure to compressors, chillers, cooling towers, or other industrial utilities * Project management experience * Knowledge of ergonomic assessments and industrial safety standards Key Competencies * Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis * Continuous Improvement * Project Management * Collaboration & Communication * Execution Excellence * Customer Focus * Results Orientation Why Join Us? * Work on challenging engineering projects with visible impact * Lead equipment and process improvements from concept through implementation * Collaborative manufacturing environment where engineers work closely with operations * Opportunity to support automation, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives * Competitive compensation and benefits Recruiters We do not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party agencies.
