Role Description The Pharmacy Assistant/Technician role at Costco Wholesale Canada is a part-time, on-site position located in Saskatoon, SK. In this role, the team member supports pharmacists by preparing and processing prescriptions, entering data accurately, and ensuring regulatory and safety standards are followed. Daily responsibilities include assisting members at the pharmacy counter, responding to phone inquiries with professional etiquette, and coordinating with healthcare providers as needed. The role also involves managing inventory, such as receiving, organizing, and counting stock, and maintaining a clean, orderly work area. The Pharmacy Assistant/Technician collaborates with pharmacy and warehouse colleagues to provide efficient, courteous service and a positive member experience. Qualifications Ability to accurately process and prepare prescriptions, with strong attention to detail and understanding of basic pharmacy procedures. Demonstrated customer service skills, including clear communication, empathy, and professionalism when assisting members in person. Strong phone etiquette skills to handle inquiries, relay information, and coordinate with healthcare providers and members. Experience or aptitude in inventory management, including organizing, tracking, and replenishing pharmacy stock. Knowledge of pharmacy operations or prior experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is an asset. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods and performing tasks requiring accuracy and organization. Basic computer and data entry skills; familiarity with pharmacy software is an advantage. Completion of a Pharmacy Assistant/Technician program and/or relevant certification or registration (as required by provincial regulations) preferred. Commitment to confidentiality, safety, and adherence to all legal and ethical standards in handling member information and medication.
