Description: The Pharmacy Technician I provides technical and operational assistance to the Pharmacy Department in the preparation, checking, distribution and procurement of pharmaceuticals. The Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement. Active registration with Alberta College of Pharmacists (ACP) required. Additional Required Qualifications: Recent experience in a community, hospital, or centralized medication preparation setting with demonstrated knowledge of medication distribution processes and pharmacy workflow. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Demonstrated experience supporting medication preparation, dispensing accuracy, inventory management, and medication distribution processes in alignment with regulatory standards and best practices. Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume pharmacy environment. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams and sites as required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience using Epic, with familiarity in Connect Care workflows supporting medication order processing and pharmacy operations. Advanced experience within Connect Care, including medication list management, dispense logic, and inventory control processes. Experience with Kroll, AutoMed or other pharmacy automation and dispensing technologies. Experience supporting medication distribution to healthcare facilities such as hospitals or care centers.

Requirements
Must be a graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program with active registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacists. Requires experience in medication distribution and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
