Why Work at Chinook Equipment: * Deep community roots, a family-oriented and friendly workplace which values employees * Competitive compensation plan with industry-leading health & dental benefits, Employee/Family Assistance Program, and Life Insurance so you and your family are covered * Travel reward program where you can travel on us beginning at 5 years of employment * Opportunity for growth and advancement within the organization via training and continuous improvement * Supportive and caring leadership and team environment What You’ll do as a Parts Technician: * Assist all customers in sourcing and ordering parts in a friendly, professional and efficient manner * Take orders for parts by telephone, email, retail counter and for our internal technicians * Provide accurate parts and freight quotes to customers * Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials * Maintain effective communication within the department and with other departments/individuals in the branch (keeping them informed of the status of back-ordered or special-order parts to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs, etc.) * Accurately process all customer transactions such as returns, orders, quotes * Assist the Service Manager in writing work orders for equipment repair * Assist in parts driving/pick up and yearly inventory counts Skills and Experience: * Parts counter experience in heavy equipment, automotive or working with a private/third party parts retailer * Committed team player with the ability to work independently and as a team * Exceptional customer service and communication skills including the ability to use tact, sensitivity, empathy and professionalism when interacting with customers and employees over the phone and in-person. * Strong attention to detail with automotive/equipment systems aptitude and a demonstrated computer efficiency * The ability to perform physical work which includes repetitive lifting of up to 50lbs * Valid Drivers License * Ability to provide a clear criminal record check Our story: Chinook Equipment is a growing equipment dealership group committed to teamwork and making a positive impact in our communities.
