Job summary
Pay: CA$24.00-CA$32.00 per hour Job Overview The primary focus of this role is to complete service work and installation deficiencies while ensuring every project meets Deslaurier's quality standards. Working closely with our designers, production team, installers, and customers, this role is responsible for diagnosing issues, completing repairs, verifying installation quality, and ensuring projects are brought to a successful completion. This individual plays a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by resolving issues efficiently and professionally. Duties Pick up service parts and paper work at Service Depot each morning and ensure parts are complete before leaving Depot Attend appointments at specified locations and times as per daily schedule Complete repairs to DCC quality standards and customer requirements Report completion to service manager and if time permits, assist other field technicians For any items completed on service reports, have the customer sign to acknowledge their acceptance of that particular service item or all items on the service report. Paperwork for New/Incomplete Service Items Complete all return service reports daily, utilizing catalogue codes and proper terminology. All reports must be complete, accurate and signed off by the customer acknowledging the service to be completed. Company Representation Always represent the company in a courteous and professional manner. Always operate company vehicles in a safe and professional manner. Education Grade 12 Specialized knowledge, Skills/Abilities and Experience Working knowledge of cabinetry installation, counter tops, woodworking and finishing techniques Possess excellent organizational and time management skills Capable of working independently (minimal supervision) as well as part of a solid team Strong communication/interpersonal skills and ability to manage difficult customer interactions with tact Valid driver's license and clean driver’s abstract record Proven problem solving ability and creative approach to solving service issues on site Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 75 lbs Good PC skills with working knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word Knowledge of Deslaurier products and services would be a strong asset Must provide own equipment: table saw, chop saw, air nailer, compressor, wood working tools.
