Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Engineer role based in Sherbrooke, QC. The Electrical Engineer will design and optimize electrical systems for industrial equipment, packaging lines, and printing machinery, including power distribution and control systems. Daily responsibilities include preparing electrical drawings and documentation, performing calculations and system analyses, supporting retrofit and modernization projects, and collaborating with mechanical and automation teams to ensure integrated solutions. The role involves participation in equipment installation, alignment, testing, and commissioning, as well as troubleshooting electrical issues and supporting service calls and refurbishing activities. The Electrical Engineer will also work with vendor technologies from key partners, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with relevant safety, regulatory, and industry standards. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Engineering and Electricity applied to industrial equipment and systems. Candidates should possess experience in Electrical Design, including schematics, layouts, and technical documentation. Candidates should possess knowledge of Power Distribution and Power Systems in industrial and manufacturing environments. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field; eligibility for or membership in a professional engineering order (e.g., OIQ) is an asset. Experience with industrial automation, control systems, and variable-speed drives; familiarity with Siemens, Rockwell, or Parker technologies is beneficial. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, standards, and codes; commitment to safety and regulatory compliance. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capacity to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on-site. Effective communication skills in English and French are an asset, along with readiness to support clients in industrial and packaging sectors.
