Job Description
The BC Field Services team is looking for new team members who enjoy technical challenge, problem solving and exceeding client expectations. Our ideal candidate is able to work independently while also engaging with the team to share knowledge and develop relationships that support the growth and expansion of Field Services in the Western Region.
The successful candidate can expect to:
  • Complete maintenance activities on protection and control systems
  • Complete maintenance activities on high voltage apparatus
  • Be in charge of business relations and the quality of professional services
  • Prepare service offers
  • Conduct pre-operational verifications and proceed to the commissioning of electrical instrumentation and apparatus
  • Monitor worksite projects being carried out at our clients’ facilities
  • Prepare test programs
  • Define safety procedures and criteria
  • Draft commissioning reports
  • Participate in the execution of detailed engineering projects
  • Draft technical documents, calculation notes and estimates
  • Apply established work methods and ensure their improvement
Work Schedule : 37.5 hours/week

Skills
  • Know how to mobilize the necessary resources (staff/finances/material) to comply with deadlines and achieve objectives
  • Know how to assign and define duties and tasks, duration and level of expertise to each project stage
  • Demonstrate skill in managing relations with clients and colleagues
  • Inspire respect and confidence and foster a favorable climate for teamwork
  • Able to demonstrate/sell skills to peers, and internal (directors and/or project leaders) and external work delegators
  • Results oriented
  • Good knowledge of protective relays and their functions
  • Solid understanding of substation maintenance practices
  • Proficiency with low, medium, and high voltage electrical instruments
  • Strong grasp of safety in electrical facilities
  • Ability to draft technical documents
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Acrobat Reader and other database applications
Requirements :
