Job Description :
Your role as a Mechanical Engineering Co-op Student will be to participate in engineering projects, from front end-studies through field implementation. As part of a team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of professional services provided and maintaining good working relationships with clients.

Other responsibilities will include:
• Applying established calculation and design methods and at times develop new design techniques.
• Receiving theoretical and practical training in their field of study.
• Taking part in the preparation of reports, specifications, estimates, tenders.
• Providing assistance for routine inspections or technical surveys.
• Giving support to engineers or technicians for performance testing or commissioning.
• Providing assistance for on site work supervision.
• Providing assistance to engineers, designers and technicians in performing calculations, data collection and plant layout.
• Respecting recommended working methods.
• Understanding, mastering, and applying the profession’s practice guidelines.
• Applies the firm’s health and safety policy and takes the necessary preventive or corrective measures to perform the work safely; becomes familiar with the firm’s prevention program; and applies specific job directives.
Work Schedule :
37.5 hours/week

Requirements :
• Enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program
• Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings
• Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, MS Project, Word, Excel, Access), Acrobat Reader
• Eligible to work in Canada as a full-time employee (37.5hr/week)
• Good academic grades
• Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and writing)
• Asset: Ability to communicate in French
• Some background in specialized software considered as a valuable asset: AutoCAD, Solidworks, Trace 700, and Ansys
