Kennebec Construction Services Ltd. is an open shop, multi-trade, specialty contractor serving Atlantic Canada. Kennebec Construction Services Limited.’s three main operating divisions include: Construction Management, Electrical Contracting and Communication Cabling.

We are currently seeking applications from Electrical Foreman, Electrical Journeyman and Electrical Apprentices interested in joining our established teams in Moncton, Saint John, and Fredericton regions!!

Responsibilities

  • Providing on-site supervision and direction for workers to ensure safe and efficient execution of work
  • Make concerted effort to meet time and budget requirements established by the employer and customer in order to complete jobs within specific guidelines
  • Organizing and planning all electrical aspects of a project; some estimating will be required
  • Coordinating, scheduling and assigning activities to workers to ensure proper resource allocation and tools at each job site
  • Participation in working of additional overtime /afterhours work is a mandatory function
  • When required, purchasing and managing materials/equipment to ensure crews are properly supplied
  • Ensure the electrical work being performed is installed as described on drawings and meets specifications and standards
  • Provide leadership and training opportunities to both apprentices and other employees and evaluate, provide feedback on progress
  • Reporting to upper management with regards to project status as it relates to schedule, problem areas, percent completion and site conditions and any safety violations
  • Work alongside employees and fill in when required
  • Familiar with all Company safety policies and QA/QC procedures and regulations
  • Enforce and complies to the highest level of safety during all stages of project execution to avoid any type of incidents and or accidents
  • Attending and/or conducting tool box talks and executing incident reports
  • Ensure field paperwork is submitted on time and completed accurately
  • Develop onsite working relationships with general contractor and other sub-contractors and manage customer relations

Qualifications

  • Red seal journeyperson electrician trade certificate
  • Past experience with managing crews and customer relations
  • Physically fit and able to learn at a fast pace
  • Past experience on both industrial and commercial sectors
  • Knowledge of basic computer and drafting programs
