Your future role on our team

BBA has been working and doing business with local clients for over 40 years. The Labrador City office has been operating for more than 12 years and boasts a multidisciplinary team of professional engineers, technicians and juniors. This highly dedicated team actively participates in developing the region and in delivering projects in the heavy industry sector, such as mining and metals, and energy, with support from the larger BBA team across Canada.

BBA is looking for a positive leader to lead and manage office operations. The office director is responsible for implementing the annual strategic plan and ensuring the region’s operational objectives are attained. You will have the exceptional opportunity to lead, engage and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team and contribute to the firm’s growth while managing human and financial resources.

Overview of certifications and job requirements

• University degree in Engineering or a relevant program of technical studies
• At least eight years of relevant experience, including in a consulting engineering firm
• Experience in engaging and managing teams
• Excellent soft skills and collaborative management skills
• Experience and interest in business development
• Experience in organizational development and in managing multidisciplinary work teams
• Strong organizational skills, structure, autonomy and demonstrated ability to work in a matrix organization
• Available for short-term work assignments between our Sept-Îles and Labrador City offices, depending on business needs
• Asset: bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written
• Asset: member of the PEGNL or the OIQ
