Join the Government of Nunavut (GN) in this unique role supporting government informatics.

Reporting to the Director, Government Information and Planning, you'll provide senior management with expert advice on informatics planning, development and operations to support the implementation of government informatics systems. This position leads the research into new and existing technologies to determine their potential application within the GN environment, develops Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Information Management (IM) capital infrastructure solutions, and contributes to the development of an ICT infrastructure, systems and application security standards within the government's networks/systems. These contributions will have a significant impact towards establishing and maintaining integrity throughout the government's networks and related systems.

Your profile as an expert Manager, Solutions Delivery will include the following highlights:

  • A recognized university degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience within an Informatics environment or related field.
  • Extensive experience in support, quality assurance, testing and development of applications and related systems as well as ICT/IM Architecture and application development in large informatics environments.
  • Experience in privacy and security policy management, and planning/managing financial and human resources.
  • Experience with LAN administration including Ethernet switching equipment.
  • Telecommunication-related vendor certifications in Microsoft, Cisco, Dell, Oracle, ITIL, CISSP or similar.


  • Fluency in more than one of Nunavut's official languages (Inuktitut [Inuinnaqtun], English and French). 
  • Knowledge of Inuit language, communities, culture, land and Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit.

Equivalencies that consist of an acceptable combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation & benefits: This position offers a salary of $107,718.00 per annum (for 37.5 hours/week), plus a Northern Allowance of $15,016.00 per annum. Note: Subsidized staff housing is available.
