How You'll Perform the Role
Using the forklift, pickup scrap material and feed into the grinder or the shredder
Stage material in order to minimize grinder changeover time from one type of material to another
Coordinate grinding activities with Material handlers to ensure smooth flow of material
Regularly clean the Grinding and Bin Staging area
Record all rolls of scrap and accurately report the amount of scrap ground by source and by type
Properly label all boxes of flake produced by the grinding operation and store in the appropriate location
Sort all scrap bins and remove any contamination
Assist with minor troubleshooting on the production line
Clean out the Grinders when changing from one material to another in order to minimize contamination
Record daily activities in the Log Book and accurately record and report process results

Dump flake into silos while ensuring that each type of material goes into appropriate silo
Perform forklift inspection before use and report any damage immediately
Correctly recognize different types type of materials (clear OPS, color OPS, natural and freezer grade, HIPS, PET, PP, PVC etc.) and handle accordingly in order to avoid cross-contamination
Monitor and recognize any contamination in the ground material
Accurately label boxes and bins
Lift and move product / parts / boxes when required
Assist with emergency conditions on the Extrusion Line(s) such as web breaks and starting the line as directed by the Shift Supervisor
Act as backup for Grinder / Repel / Roll splitter
Diligently follow lockout / tag out procedures whenever required
Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S in own work area and around work units
Perform all work in a safe manner and fully comply with the Safety and Quality (GMP) policies and procedures of the Company
What We Need From You
Minimum high school diploma
Valid forklift certification with 1 year of recent driving experience in a manufacturing environment
Work well under pressure
Strong team player
Good communication in English (verbal and written)
