Civil Engineering Student

INTRO

The Decommissioning and Environmental Engineering department is a multi-discipline team that provides technical support, design and engineering services to several areas in CRL to contribute with multiple projects undergoing decommissioning. This important area in CNL provides an important role in the management of nuclear liabilities and clean-up of the environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for young student with Engineering background to put in practice his knowledge and to develop experience while contributing to our projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the development of engineering databases, and user interfaces
• Test the software application and identify performance issues.
• Develop technical documentation and training procedures
• Support user training
• Support migration of data into new software application
• Support software integration with existing applications
• Support configuration management and change control
• Support Engineering Self Assessments
• Prepare design documentation including calculations, reports, memos under the supervision of a Senior Engineer
• Contribute with the preparation of engineering specifications in support to decommissioning work
• Perform engineering reviews and calculations under the supervision of a Senior Engineer

REQUIREMENTS

Interpersonal or technical skills, knowledge or abilities required

• Experience with databases, SQL, GUI, import/export
• Experience in programming
• Mastery in MS Office Suite in particular Excel
• Excellent verbal and writing communications skills
• Team working skills
