Machine Learning Diagnostic Firmware Engineer

The Role:

Be part of the world's most leading graphics accelerator team developing test applications for the functional and behavior verification of state-of-the-art graphics accelerators. This role will involve crafting and implementing test plans, as well as analyzing and debugging the results.

The candidate will be planning, designing, writing, debugging, and optimizing functional and stress tests for Compute hardware IP. The person will also coordinate with hardware architects and logic designers to tackle functional issues, and customer support engineers to help resolve testing deficiencies.

The Person:

  • The candidate should be a hardworking self-starter, proactive, able to share ideas, and able to provide design verification leadership.
  • Excellent knowledge of hardware/software integration and standard diagnostic testing techniques
  • Sophisticated developer in a complex software environment
  • Exceptional problem solving capabilities and data analysis skills
  • Excellent conversation and writing skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Explore and adopt new or evolving testing methodologies used in the industry to verify complex ASIC designs within intensive production schedules
  • Work within existing test infrastructure on currently active projects.
  • Participate in system-level verification planning

Preferred Experience:

  • Candidate should have extensive relative experience in the diagnostic or verification environments with emphasis on ASIC system-level testing.
  • Must have knowledge of Machine Learning (CNN, RNN, FNN) and one of Deep Learning framework, i.e. Tensorflow, Pytorch, DirectML, etc.
  • Experience with source code control systems
  • Software development in Linux and Windows
  • cuDNN or ROCm development
  • Object oriented programming in C++, STL, and Boost.
  • Python, Perl, and Bash development
  • Knowledge of RTL design practices and tools is a plus.

Academic Credentials:

BSEE, CSEE, BSCpE, or BSCS; MS preferred
