WHAT YOU DO AT AMD CHANGES EVERYTHING
We care deeply about transforming lives with AMD technology to enrich our industry, our communities, and the world. Our mission is to build great products that accelerate next-generation computing experiences – the building blocks for the data center, artificial intelligence, PCs, gaming and embedded. Underpinning our mission is the AMD culture. We push the limits of innovation to solve the world’s most important challenges. We strive for execution excellence while being direct, humble, collaborative, and inclusive of diverse perspectives. This is who we are at our best. One Company. One Team.
AMD together we advance_
Our team is responsible for delivering and supporting 3rd Party IPs such as SRAM & ROM compilers, in addition to inhouse Macro/IP development. All IPs need to meet AMD’s functionality, performance, and technology requirements while integrating seamlessly within the AMD design ecosystem. We are exposed to bleeding edge technologies and play a major role in shaping AMD’s roadmap and future products.
The role of the Memory Wrapper & Compiler Lead will be both to support AMD designs by creating/maintaining vendor-agnostic memory wrappers, and also to develop custom memory compilers for targeted applications. We are also searching for a QA lead that will enable rigorous/automated verification of our memories, so we welcome resumes for that role as well.
The candidate will take a hands-on approach leading international teams in order to execute these requirements. This work will enable AMD to remain flexible and agile to any/all future technology shifts. The Memory Wrapper & Compiler Lead will have an integration-oriented perspective when developing both the soft and hard IP, with a keen eye on DFT requirements.
- Create/Support/Enhance memory wrappers for RTL integration
- Automate optimal memory selection within AMD’s memory wrappers
- Lead inhouse memory compiler development
- Create associated DFT views for memory wrappers and custom memory arrays
- Close collaboration with CAD teams and memory experts
- Proficient understanding of SRAM/ROM/ECC architecture, operation, and requirements
- Comfortable with script programming, such as, TCL, Perl or C-shell languages in a UNIX environment
- Working knowledge of Verilog/RTL, liberty files, spice simulation, and ASIC design flows
- Physical design experience, preferably with memory compiler tiling/routing
