Solution Architect : Cloud GPU Software

The Role:

AMD's graphics solutions are rapidly enabling all computing to move into the cloud. This is the mission of the "Cloud & Virtualization GPU Software" team - whose solutions have enabled industry leaders such as Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Tencent Gaming, as well as many enterprises worldwide. In our endeavor to engineer a premium GPU experience in the cloud, we're seeking a software architect whose role it will be to drive top-down software experiences under a virtualized environment - KVM, VMware and Hyper-V included. Best of all, you'll be working with a fantastic team of individuals on a vast array of technologies that are fascinating (e.g. GPU hardware, drivers, hypervisors, operating systems, machine learning, CPUs and system architecture). Be bold and help us conquer cloud computing.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work with internationally renowned cloud service providers to understand and enable world class data centre based experiences
  • Work with cross functional teams to drive software solutions
  • Build a premium & unified virtualization solution spanning a variety of hypervisors (including KVM, Hyper-V, VMware, etc.)

Preferred Experience:

  • Expert knowledge with operating system development, low-level device driver or embedded driver development
  • Knowledge of GPU and CPU architectures
  • Years of industry experience with low level software development in C/C++
  • Experience developing and debugging kernel mode device driver software under Linux and Windows
  • Architecture experience with designing complex software systems and architectures
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills

Academic Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
