  • Annual Inspections

  • Identifying and repairing problems

  • Evaluate and diagnosing equipment requiring service

  • Service installation and verification of fire alarm systems

  • Preparation of inspections and deficiency reports, verification reports


  • Valid registered CFAA certification

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in service and inspection of fire protection systems

  • Valid drivers liscense with a clean driving abstract

  • Strong communication skills & and customer skills

  • Prepared to handle after hour and weekend service calls on a rotating basis.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in completion of reports and work orders

  • Ability to obtain a minimum of "reliability status" security clearance.

  • Medium to strong computer skills and basic working knowledge of windows operating system
  • Ability to handle stressful moment in a calm and collective way


  • Experience in programming fire alarm panels

  • Working knowledge of CAN/ULC standards S524, S536 and S537

  • Knowledge of most major fire alarm panels and monitoring communications

  • Experience performing sprinkler inspections and repairs as well as troubleshooting and minor alterations

  • Mobile platform, fall arrest, confined spaces, working at heights certification

  • Experience in security systems, cctv systems and card access systems
